I hated my drab bedroom. It had no character. I love the prim/country look and after my heart surgery in Feb. 2007, my lovely and thoughful daughters bought me this beautiful quilt for our bed. But after I put it on the bed, the walls looked Blah.
The room needed a new overhaul.
A few weeks after my recuperation, I painted our bedroom. It was a beige color and I went mustard. The room is small and while the mustard color is dark and you aren't supposed to use dark colors in small rooms, I did it anyway and I love it. I don't have 'prim' furniture, so my room doesn't look very prim, but I'm happy with it. At least until I can talk DH into buying new furniture. Click on this link View Photo Slide to view before and after photos of the room change. Let me know what you think. Did I do good?

Hi, did I read that you might have an free apple pattern? I have the pear, I can adjust it, but if it would save me time to find an apple that would be great. Thanks, Laurie

Thank you, that was perfect!!Laurie
You did good! Love the shelf over the bed and the quilt. The lamp is really nice also! How did you paint your walls? Did you do a faux technique?
